Fred Shiple RV 7
On November 28,2006 Tony Partain will be delivering yet another RV-7 to our shop.
This one belongs to Fred Shiple from Toledo, Ohio. Fred will be coming on December
4, 2006 to build his tail kit and then again in January to build his wings. The other day
Fred told me that his Kitfox has been fun but now he's ready to go FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're looking forward to working with Fred. (Pictures will follow)
This week Fred came to our Tail Workshop and built his tail. We had a good
time working together. In January he will be back to build his wings. All went
well and his tail looks great. I'm looking forward to work with him again.

I Think That I am Going to Like This RV Building...
YEP, I LIKE IT............
January 2007, Fred was back in the shop this week to build his wings.
Here he is installing the rod ends on his aileron push-pull tubes......
Here's Fred again working on his wings. They are now completed less the
landing lights. In a few weeks we will have his fuselage on it's gear. He will
then take it home to work on for a few months until I can get caught up on a
couple of projects that I have in the shop.
Fred was here last week to help get his 7 on it's gear so that he can take it
home to work on while I help Wayne finish his 7-A. Here's Fred installing
his wheel pant brackets and brakes.
Fred forgot to bring that little rubber thing that goes on the back so he designed
a new style tail wheel. This one was made from a 2 X 6. It's good for one landing
on turf then it must be replaced. That way you always have a new one . I now
call him (Fred Flintstone). SORRY FRED but I had to do it.
Here it is on it's gear. On Friday, April the 6th we loaded it up and Fred
took it home. It will come back this September.
Look what just arrived at the hangar. This is Fred's brand new shinny TMX-IO-390 9/25/2007

Fred praying to the sheetmetal Gods!!!!!!!!! It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it............
We finally got Freds panel booted up. I've been wiring now for about three and a half weeks.
A couple more weeks should do it. I figure sometime in March we will begin the re-entry tile
installation.
Pitot-Static lines and breakers...Lots of breakers...
These are the two current limiters that we got from B & C. Oh Yeah, did I mention that
Fred has 2 alternators?
Okay so you want to see wires, I'll show you wires........
Here ya go.......
We're just getting started.....
Yesterday 2/5/2008 I finished the FWF wiring.
Note the oil cooler, we went 747 style.....
Here's a picture of the Ignition module and the 2 voltage regulators. We also have 2 cooling
fans in there somewhere. Stay Tunned.........................
